Tabasamu made 7 “Tooth Tour” presentations in its May 2010 trip to Kenya. The group included Kyle Evans, Kyle’s niece Courtney Smyth, a college junior and Ali Bove and John Loftus, high school sophomores.

Tabasamu, which means “smile” in Swahili, is a dental outreach project that was founded by Dr. Edward (Trey) Wilson in 2004. Its mission is to provide free dental education and preventative dental care to underserved communities in developing countries. Tabasamu also provides an international outreach opportunity for volunteers who are interested in learning about other cultures and donating their time, energy and goodwill to others. Read more...
